Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Mount Sinai South Nassau. As a key member of our Operating Room department, you will provide high-quality patient care and work collaboratively with our healthcare team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to a selected number of patients, considering their individual needs and stages of development.
  • Diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems through case-finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive or restorative care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain and enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited program for Registered Professional Nursing (BSN preferred).
  • Current and valid New York State registration authorizing practice as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
  • Certifications required for assigned area of practice (BLS).
  • Excellent verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Computer proficiency.
Working Conditions
  • Frequent, prolonged standing and walking.
  • Frequent lifts, positions, and/or transfers of patients and equipment.
  • Personal Protective Equipment worn.
