Our team at Johnson Thermal Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced Paint Helper to join our paint department
About the Role
The successful candidate will assist the paint department with various tasks, including preparing, applying, and cleaning commercial paint projects.
This position requires attention to detail, ability to follow safety protocols, and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work.
Responsibilities
- Assist in executing painting projects under the supervision of more experienced staff.
- Perform basic paint skills such as masking, application, scraping, sanding, and cleaning.
- Evaluate painted surfaces for defects and help touch up or correct any imperfections as needed.
- Maintain tools and equipment used while also maintaining a clean workspace.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including the proper use of PPE, such as gloves, goggles, masks, and respirators, to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent is desired OR any combination of education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the job duties.
- Have reliable attendance, be respectful and responsible at work.
- Ability to keep your hand and arm steady while moving your arm or while holding your arm and hand in one position.
- Ability to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all organizational levels in a professional, respectful manner.
- Ability to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.
Estimated Salary: $45,000-$60,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
