Key Responsibilities:

(90%) Patient Mammography Imaging

  • Conduct pre-exam screenings to identify any precautions or contraindications
  • Clearly explain imaging procedures to patients and position them appropriately
  • Execute Mammography imaging procedures with minimal oversight
  • Adjust imaging parameters and apply dose reduction techniques
  • Foster positive interactions with healthcare professionals and patients
  • Adhere strictly to physicians' orders and safety protocols
  • Maintain accurate patient records within the system
  • Ensure a clean work environment and follow safety guidelines
  • Comply with HIPAA regulations

(5%) Support for the Mammography Department

  • Assist in the upkeep of imaging protocol manuals and software updates
  • Monitor and manage supply inventory, requesting items as necessary
  • Facilitate the training of new staff members

(5%) Additional Responsibilities

Qualifications:

  • Registered technologist with ARRT certification
  • Graduate from an AMA accredited radiography program
  • Licensed Radiological Technologist, if applicable
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience in Mammography imaging
  • Certification in imaging specialty
  • Commitment to ongoing education in the modality
