The Position: Skincare Education Specialist

Are you a seasoned skincare expert or Esthiology Educator eager to impart your knowledge and skills to aspiring professionals in our industry? Douglas J is in search of knowledgeable skincare specialists and Licensed Esthiology Educators to motivate and instruct our students in both daytime and evening programs. If you have not yet achieved your Educator license, this role offers paid training and the necessary state requirements to become a licensed Instructor.

Role Responsibilities

Your Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Delivering assigned courses under the mentorship of the Education Coach & Program Team Lead
  • Guiding students to reach their fullest potential in mastering the curriculum
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in your teaching field
  • Upholding professional conduct and ethical standards relevant to your role
  • Assessing and returning student assignments promptly
  • Instructing students on effective sanitation practices and supervising cleanliness throughout the day
  • Managing the classroom environment to ensure adherence to school policies
  • Being a solutions-oriented individual capable of addressing classroom management challenges
  • Completing additional tasks as assigned
Candidate Qualifications

What We Seek:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in the skincare field
  • Possession of an active State of Michigan Esthetician license
  • Familiarity with Aveda products/services/curriculum is advantageous, but not mandatory
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to hold peers accountable
  • Capability to excel in a dynamic, professional educational environment
