POSITION OVERVIEW:
The main responsibility of this role is to prepare meals according to specified dietary requirements, community protocols, and food safety standards, under the guidance of the Food Service Director. Additional tasks may be assigned by community representatives. Adhere to all health, sanitation, and infection control policies while maintaining the established standards of practice as outlined by the community's administration and Dietary Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.

• A solid understanding of food safety and sanitation principles is essential. Must comply with state-specific food handler training requirements.

• Proficiency in English communication, with the ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.

• Capability to execute both verbal and written directives effectively.

• Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail are required.

• Ability to collaborate with supervisors, colleagues, and community staff in fulfilling job responsibilities.

• Competence in observing proper safety and sanitation practices.

• Flexibility to work hours as scheduled based on the demands of the position.

• Must not pose a direct threat to the health and safety of others in the workplace.

Experience:

• Prior experience in long-term care settings is preferred but not mandatory.
