Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Urology Clinic team. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and documenting health information.
  • Perform laboratory procedures, including strep tests, wound cultures, and specimen collection.
  • Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries, such as pelvic exams and EMG tests.
  • Administer medications, including immunizations, antibiotics, and pain medications.
  • Provide patient education on tasks, skills, treatment, and self-care.
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure accurate and timely information.
  • Document patient conditions and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state in which you practice.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA).
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Practical Nursing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships with patients, staff, and physicians.
  • Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding and navigation within electronic medical records systems.
Working Conditions

This role requires sitting, standing, walking, lifting, squatting, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, climbing, and reaching above shoulders throughout the workday.

You will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, blood, and body fluid hazards on a frequent basis. Protective clothing and equipment will be required as needed.
