Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger management, balance sheet reconciliation, and income statement analysis.
2. Prepare precise and timely financial statements according to established schedules and in collaboration with the accounting team.
3. Conduct regular ledger activities, including bank statement reconciliations and month-end processes to ensure timely financial closings.
4. Develop and enforce effective internal controls to safeguard the accuracy of financial statements, budgets, and financial planning.
5. Analyze financial reports for discrepancies and issues requiring attention from senior management.
6. Review inter-company transactions and generate invoices as necessary.
7. Collaborate with external auditors, prepare required documentation, and assist in the annual audit process.
8. Streamline accounting functions to enhance accuracy and operational efficiency.
9. Engage in ongoing education and professional development to stay abreast of industry trends and changes.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; advanced degrees or professional certifications such as CPA are preferred.
2. At least 5 years of professional accounting experience, ideally within the finance sector.
3. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
4. Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Solid knowledge of general ledger functions, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
6. Proven experience in implementing and maintaining internal controls.
7. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
8. Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
9. Capability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple deadlines effectively.
10. High integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality are essential.
