Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Avionics Systems Specialist to join our team at King Aerospace. This full-time position involves critical responsibilities in the installation, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems on various aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Interpret and implement avionics systems according to technical documents, schematics, and installation drawings with minimal supervision.
  2. Conduct thorough inspections of avionics components to identify defects and ensure accurate assembly and installation.
  3. Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
  4. Test avionics equipment under both simulated and actual operating conditions to assess performance and airworthiness.
  5. Analyze test results to recommend necessary adjustments, repairs, or replacements of defective components.
  6. Ensure that all tools and equipment used are calibrated and compliant with industry standards.
  7. Accompany flight crews for in-flight adjustments and record any required post-flight repairs.
  8. Inspect and certify aircraft communication, navigation, and weather radar systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
  9. Complete all necessary documentation, reports, and checklists in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
  10. Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize required safety equipment diligently.
  11. Assist colleagues and other departments as needed to facilitate job functions.
  12. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Avionics Technician in an installation or modification environment.

Work Environment:

The work environment may include exposure to mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and electrical hazards. Employees may encounter high places, fumes, and other environmental factors.

Physical Demands:

Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. The role may involve lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds frequently.

Language and Reasoning Skills:

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with team members and clients.

Certifications:

Preferred candidates will possess a current Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license.
