Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Avionics Systems Specialist to join our team at King Aerospace. This full-time position involves critical responsibilities in the installation, maintenance, and repair of avionics systems on various aircraft.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret and implement avionics systems according to technical documents, schematics, and installation drawings with minimal supervision.
- Conduct thorough inspections of avionics components to identify defects and ensure accurate assembly and installation.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose malfunctions in aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
- Test avionics equipment under both simulated and actual operating conditions to assess performance and airworthiness.
- Analyze test results to recommend necessary adjustments, repairs, or replacements of defective components.
- Ensure that all tools and equipment used are calibrated and compliant with industry standards.
- Accompany flight crews for in-flight adjustments and record any required post-flight repairs.
- Inspect and certify aircraft communication, navigation, and weather radar systems, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Complete all necessary documentation, reports, and checklists in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and utilize required safety equipment diligently.
- Assist colleagues and other departments as needed to facilitate job functions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an Avionics Technician in an installation or modification environment.
Work Environment:
The work environment may include exposure to mechanical parts, varying weather conditions, and electrical hazards. Employees may encounter high places, fumes, and other environmental factors.
Physical Demands:
Regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands for various tasks. The role may involve lifting and moving items up to 50 pounds frequently.
Language and Reasoning Skills:
Ability to read and interpret technical documents and communicate effectively with team members and clients.
Certifications:
Preferred candidates will possess a current Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) or Federal Communications Commission (FCC) license.
