Job Title: Resident Assistant

Amaris Home Health Care Agency is seeking a compassionate and reliable Resident Assistant to provide exceptional care to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Caring for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents
  • Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including wardrobe, personal hygiene, and mobility
  • Aiding in daily tasks such as housekeeping, use of telephone, laundry, transportation, and mail delivery
  • Assisting with dining, including escorting residents to the dining room, serving, and clean up
  • Observing and reporting changes in resident's condition and status
  • Documenting client concerns and difficulties and reporting to supervisor
  • Scheduling doctor appointments as needed
  • Completing rounds on residents to assure safety and provide assistance as needed
  • Attending meetings/in-services/training sessions as required by Health Services Director and/or Executive Director
  • Communicating with residents, families, visitors, and employees in a positive manner using excellent communication skills
  • Representing the agency in a loyal manner

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from high school or successful G.E.D.
  • Verifiable work experience as a caregiver or CNA, preferably 1 year

Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to frequently sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, and crouch or crawl
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds
  • Ability to see and hear within normal parameters/ranges
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the workforce
  • Ability to read and interpret technical instructions related to providing client care
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to client needs and schedule
