We are seeking a compassionate and reliable part-time caregiver to provide companionship and transportation services for a client in La Jolla. This role focuses on supporting the client's social well-being and ensuring safe transportation to and from appointments, errands, and outings.
Key Responsibilities- Provide friendly and engaging companionship, participating in conversations and light activities to enhance the client's quality of life.
- Safely transport the client to scheduled appointments, shopping trips, social outings, or other necessary locations.
- Assist the client with light mobility, if necessary, to and from the car or building entrances.
- Ensure a positive and supportive environment during interactions.
- Standby assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting), meal prep, medication reminders, and light housekeeping.
- Maintain a reliable and punctual schedule.
- Cell phone with internet access
- Strong organizational & communication skills
- Valid driver's license and active car insurance
- Certifications that are preferred but NOT required: CNA, HHA, CPR, First Aid, AED
- Active Home Care Aide status (Unsure? We can show you how)
- Proof of Negative TB results
- $20-$23 an hour
