Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at St. Mary's Health Care.

Salary: The estimated salary for this position is between $31.31 and $40.70 per hour, with the potential for overtime pay based on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

In this role, you will assess patients' abilities to safely perform daily living skills and design personalized plans of care. You will also implement treatment plans using various modalities, document patient progress, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify patient needs and develop effective treatment plans.
• Implement and modify treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families/caregivers on adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist (OTR) in the state of New York.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire date.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and make decisions with minimal supervision.
