Skilled Nursing Caregiver

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LNA/MNA to join our team as a Per Diem caregiver for overnight shifts at RiverWoods Manchester.
About the Role: As an LNA/MNA, you will provide direct resident care in a team-focused environment where our residents are at the heart of what we do. You will assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, eating, and toileting, promoting their health and independence.
Your Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality direct care to residents, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
- Assist residents with mobility and functional nursing care as defined by the nursing care plan, including transfers, ambulation, ROM, splint application, positioning, sit-stand lifts, Hoyer lifts, and whirlpool therapy.
- Develop professional relationships with residents, family members, co-workers, and supervisors, fostering open communication based on mutual respect.
- Assist with assessments and treatment procedures as defined by the State Nursing Practice Act and facility policy, including TPRs, BP's, weights, specimen collection, skin care, O2 stats, and O2 therapy.
- Follow Infection Control guidelines, including Standard Precautions, handling of Biohazardous materials, and isolation techniques.
- Participate in falls prevention, safety, and elopement protocols, as well as behavior management, skin integrity, bowel, and bladder management.
- Accept resident assignment and direction from the Nurse Leader, observing and reporting any changes in physical or mental function.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and clean environment, adhering to established facility protocols regarding Resident Rights, Abuse reporting, HIPAA, and emergency response.
- Encourage residents to participate in social and recreational activities, promoting their overall well-being.
- Acknowledge and adhere to established facility protocols, prioritizing resident needs and providing exceptional care.
Requirements: Active NH LNA license and prior experience working directly with senior citizens is strongly preferred.
