We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN. This role will provide diagnostic imaging services using various modalities, including radiography, computed tomography (CT), and other advanced imaging techniques.
About the JobThis is a full-time day shift position with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of radiographic procedures used in the diagnostic treatment of illness and injuries. They will position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately, implement radiation protection and safety standards, prepare, perform, and assist physicians in special and advanced procedures, and ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
Responsibilities- Perform radiographic procedures such as X-rays, CT scans, and other advanced imaging techniques to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of medical conditions.
- Position patients accurately and select optimal technical parameters to produce high-quality images.
- Implement radiation safety protocols and procedures to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
- Assist physicians in special and advanced procedures, including administering contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient information, examination results, and any relevant documentation.
- BLS Provider certification obtained within 1 month of hire date or job transfer date required.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Computed Tomography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
The estimated salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
