Job Summary

Ottawa University is seeking a qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach Engineering courses at our Surprise, Arizona campus. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will be responsible for providing engaging and effective instruction in Engineering and Mathematics courses.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate/graduate level coursework in Engineering and Mathematics
  • Develop and implement course materials, including syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments
  • Provide academic support to students, including office hours and online support
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development
  • Meet with students, parents, and colleagues to discuss academic progress and provide guidance
Requirements
  • Earned Doctorate or a master's degree in a related field, with 18+ graduate credit hours in the discipline being taught
  • Five years of academic and professional teaching experience within the teaching content
  • Experience with Blackboard or other similar online course platforms
  • Experience with Zoom, Skype, or WebEx
Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Engineering or a related field
  • Experience teaching online courses
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
