Role Summary
As the Admissions/Utilization Management Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the referral and intake processes for all residential programs while overseeing utilization management data collection and reporting. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Efficiently addressing all verbal and written inquiries regarding admissions to Hillcrest's residential programs.
- Assessing all referrals for initial suitability.
- Acting as a liaison between Hillcrest staff and referring professionals to clarify any questions about potential admissions or additional requirements.
- Providing information about Hillcrest's programs or directing inquiries to the appropriate staff member.
- Distributing relevant program descriptions and referral materials as requested.
- Facilitating prompt admission decisions across all programs.
- Gathering essential client information, including psychological evaluations, medical history, and school reports, and sharing this information with the assigned internal social worker or counselor.
- Obtaining funding authorizations from potential financial sources for clients.
- Securing necessary releases of information and consent for treatment from clients or guardians.
- Reviewing utilization dashboards and internal referral data to ensure clients receive appropriate services.
- Managing key performance indicators for residential programs, providing visibility to program leaders, and making recommendations to administrative and program staff.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a behavioral healthcare environment is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in social work, nursing, or a business-related field is preferred.
