We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Groundskeeper. This role is essential in maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of our property.
Key ResponsibilitiesDaily Duties:
- Conduct routine inspections of communal areas to ensure cleanliness and order.
- Maintain the office and shop environments to uphold high standards of cleanliness.
- Implement waste management protocols, including issuing notices regarding trash disposal.
- Perform weekly checks on irrigation systems to ensure proper functionality.
- Oversee the operation of the trash compactor and manage pool maintenance during the active season. Availability for on-call duties is required, which includes operating the trash compactor, monitoring the pool, and conducting chemical assessments on weekends.
- Ensure that all common areas, including parking lots and walkways, are free from litter and debris.
- Execute custodial tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and window cleaning.
- Adhere to schedules and directives provided by the Service Manager.
- Ensure that all gated entrances and security equipment are functional and report any maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of scheduled maintenance for all equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
- Monitor and manage inventory of tools and equipment effectively.
- Propose improvements in working conditions and equipment usage to enhance operational efficiency.
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in groundskeeping is preferred.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation is essential.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Capability to safely handle manual and power tools weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to lift, set up, and climb ladders and scaffolding weighing up to 125 pounds, reaching heights of 40 feet.
- Assist in the safe transportation and setup of heavy items, including appliances and furniture, which may weigh up to 250 pounds, using hand trucks and navigating stairs as necessary.
