Job Summary

This position is located at our York, PA location, where you will be part of a dynamic team at Henkels & McCoy, a subsidiary of MasTec.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance and service of fleet vehicles at assigned intervals, ensuring they are in top condition for our construction sites.
  • Document PM reports and equipment repair logs, providing accurate records of our maintenance activities.
  • Utilize your experience with Ford, Peterbilt, John Deere, Altec, Terex, Versalift, International, Cat, and Vermeer equipment to perform repairs and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues, and install and maintain telematics equipment such as Zonar.
  • Repair hydraulic and engine systems, air brakes, chassis, and other components of our construction equipment.
  • Work with minimum supervision, using your analytical skills to resolve complex problems.
  • Perform field welding and fabrication on dirt and rock engagement equipment, ensuring our equipment is safe and functional.
Qualifications
  • Desire to learn the diversified career path of a construction mechanic, with a willingness to acquire hand-held trade tools.
  • Some prior mechanical background is helpful, but not required.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (50 LBS) and work in awkward positions, with attention to detail and a drive to safely complete tasks.
  • Good analytical skills and ability to work over time when required, sometimes with short/same day notice.
  • Occasional and infrequent overnight travel may be necessary.
