The Banquet Server plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional dining experiences to guests by serving food and beverages with a focus on outstanding customer service. This position is essential for ensuring that events hosted at the hotel are memorable and enjoyable for all attendees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to guest inquiries and needs promptly to ensure a high level of satisfaction.
- Welcome guests warmly upon their arrival and maintain a proactive approach to service throughout their visit.
- Deliver fast, friendly, and professional service to both guests and team members.
- Exhibit excellent attendance to provide consistent coverage and support for efficient service delivery.
- Utilize the 10/5 rule: make eye contact and smile when within 10 feet, and greet guests within 5 feet.
- Serve as a role model by interacting with guests and colleagues with integrity and professionalism.
- Stay informed about hotel services and events to assist guests effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve shared goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Maintain composure and creativity in all situations to foster confidence among guests and coworkers.
- Contribute to a clean, comfortable, and enjoyable workplace.
- Ensure operational excellence by consistently delivering high-quality service and products.
- Lead by example, following directions and ensuring all operational standards are met.
