Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our Pediatric Therapy Team at Encompass Child Development Center. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in implementing occupational therapy goals for children aged 3 to 8 years old in a clinic or community-based program setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in a multi-disciplinary team with Physical Therapists, Speech and Language Pathologists, Mental Health Therapists, Public Health Nurses, and Special Educators to monitor treatment progress and develop individualized goals.
  • Assist supervising OTRs with planning and implementing new goals and objectives for each child on the caseload.
  • Complete written daily treatment sessions within 48 hours to document services rendered.
  • Provide daily insurance billing information to facilitate timely reimbursement.
  • Supervise student interns and participate in staff development/training opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Applied Associates Degree in Occupational Therapy with current Washington State licensure.
  • Pass Washington State DSHS criminal history and background check and FBI fingerprint check if not in state for more than the past 3 years.
  • Ability to work as a member of a team.
  • Preferred: At least one year of pediatric experience and bilingual in English and Spanish.
