Job Summary

Canyons School District is seeking a qualified Chemistry Instructor to join our team of adjunct faculty members. As a Chemistry Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching chemistry courses to students at our Valencia and Canyon Country campuses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach chemistry courses to students at the Valencia and Canyon Country campuses
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and understanding of chemistry concepts
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the development of curriculum and programs
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Possession of an unexpired California Community College Instructor Credential in Chemistry
  • Master's degree in Chemistry or a related field
  • Experience teaching chemistry courses at the community college level
  • Ability to communicate effectively with students and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience teaching online courses
  • Knowledge of curriculum development and program evaluation
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
