Avera Health is seeking a compassionate Medication Aide to join our team at Freeman Regional Assisted Living. As a part-time LPN or Medication Aide, you will provide exceptional care and support to residents in our Assisted Living community.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of seniors and help them maintain their highest level of functioning. Your duties will include planning, coordinating, and implementing a healthcare program that meets the unique needs of each resident. This may involve assisting with daily living activities, supervising medication administration, and administering medications as needed.
Responsibilities:
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Supervise self-administration of medications by residents and administer medications as required
• Develop and implement individualized plans for each resident's healthcare, focusing on maintaining or improving quality of life
• Perform routine services and personal care for residents, including vital sign checks and documentation
Requirements:
• LPN or Medication Aide licensure/certification
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassion and empathy when interacting with residents and families
Work Schedule:
This is a part-time position working 48 hours per two-week pay period. You can expect to work eight-hour shifts from 6:00am-3:30pm, every other weekend and holiday. There is potential for full-time status if willing to cross-train as a Nurse Aide or move to our Long Term Care facility.
Compensation:
The estimated annual salary for this position is $45,000 - $55,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Avera Health offers competitive benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings, and paid time off.
