Role Responsibilities:
The Oncology Care Coordinator is expected to demonstrate advanced skills in assessing, planning, and facilitating treatment for patients facing complex health challenges. This position is pivotal in coordinating comprehensive care to address various service needs, ensuring seamless service delivery, and improving patient quality of life while managing costs effectively.
The care coordinator will assist patients and their families in navigating their health journeys, promoting self-care, and respecting patient autonomy in decision-making. Additionally, this role emphasizes wellness and chronic disease management.
Infusion Nursing Duties:
The Infusion Registered Nurse will provide both direct and indirect nursing care, which includes the safe administration of chemotherapy and other infusion therapies, as well as managing venous access devices and other patient-specific tasks.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position requiring 72-80 hours over a two-week period, with 8-hour shifts during the day and evening, including weekends as necessary.
