Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Culinary Services/Executive Chef to join our dynamic team at Experience Senior Living Co.

The ideal candidate will have five (5) or more years of culinary experience in fine dining or hospitality, a strong organizational mindset, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and supervise Culinary Services team members, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Meet regularly with residents and family members to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  • Collaborate with the restaurant manager/coordinator to provide exceptional customer service and fine dining experiences.
  • Ensure effective collaboration between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver outstanding food products.
  • Provide assistance to kitchen and restaurant team members as needed, including working all stations in the kitchen and/or dining room.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director and team members to achieve high customer satisfaction.
  • Delegate tasks to maintain the highest cleanliness and quality standards in the kitchen and restaurant areas.
  • Comply with state and local health code requirements for food preparation, storage, and serving.
  • Maintain Employee Satisfaction at all times.
  • Interview and hire team members for the Culinary Services department.
  • Participate in monthly department meetings/in-services.
  • Manage annual budgets for the Culinary Services department, documenting monthly expenses.
  • Develop recipes and menus based on resident preferences and budgetary constraints.
  • Promote employee safety and well-being by maintaining equipment and ensuring proper use.
  • Oversee inventory management, purchasing standards, and vendor relationships.
  • Plan and execute Life Enrichment events, special events, banquets, and themed meals.
  • Maintain positive relationships with team members, coworkers, and residents.
  • May perform other duties as assigned or requested.
