Job SummaryThe Medical Laboratory Scientist II plays a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases by performing routine and specialized laboratory tests and procedures. This position requires the use of advanced equipment, instruments, and computer systems, as well as the ability to evaluate and report patient results with considerable independent judgment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quality control procedures and contribute to the maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and instrumentation.
- Train new employees and/or students in the theoretical and operational aspects of procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2 Years Clinical - Clinical Laboratory - Moderate and High Complexity Testing Required - Or Equivalent Education Requirement
- Bachelor's Degree Clinical Laboratory Science Or Medical Technology Required - Or Associate's Degree Medical Laboratory Technology Or Bachelor's Degree Related Field Required - With Required Licensure/Certification - And With Equivalent Experience
- American Society for Clinical Pathology Or National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel Certification Required - Or Equivalent Education Requirement
Wednesday to Tuesday, 9pm to 7am (7 on/7 off)
Additional InformationAs needed, the Medical Laboratory Scientist II may be required to work weekends and/or be on call.
