About the Job

We are currently hiring a skilled Diesel Mechanic Specialist to join our team in Beaver County, Pennsylvania. As a Diesel and Construction Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a diverse range of vehicles and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining and repairing vehicles, including cars, trucks, tractors, and construction machinery;
  • Performing repairs on diesel equipment, such as oil changes, filter replacements, and installing water pumps and gaskets;
  • Conducting official state safety and emissions inspections on vehicles within your licensing category;
  • Servicing diesel equipment and repairing electrical systems, cooling systems, suspension, and driveline systems;
  • Demonstrating repair techniques on assigned equipment to fellow employees and assisting other mechanics with major repairs;

As part of this role, you will maintain accurate equipment records, perform road tests on vehicles, and handle various tasks, including tire changes, engine sub-assembly repairs, and brake system repairs. We estimate the salary for this position to be around $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • A minimum of two years of journey-level mechanic experience in the diagnosis and repair of automobiles, heavy trucks, or construction equipment, including one year of experience in diesel vehicle repair;
  • A valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License;
  • A valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations;
Working Conditions and Benefits

This is a full-time position with regular working hours from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Work hours may be subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs. This role requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Inspection Mechanic Certification and the ability to perform essential job functions.
