Position Overview
Timmons Group is actively seeking a Certified Land Surveyor to become a vital part of our Survey Group. This role is essential for overseeing the successful execution of designated projects and managing client relationships effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee marketing initiatives and client engagement, ensuring technical excellence, profitability, adherence to timelines, and effective communication with clients.
- Prepare proposals, negotiate project scopes and fees, manage billing processes, and maintain client follow-up to ensure satisfaction.
- Foster strong relationships with clients, promoting Timmons Group's diverse services beyond your immediate expertise.
- Simultaneously manage several mid-sized projects, multiple smaller projects, or a single large project.
- Conduct various types of surveys including ALTA/NSPS Land Title, boundary, route, topographical, construction, control networking, and high-definition surveys.
- Utilize surveying formulas and computational skills to solve complex problems effectively.
- Maintain ongoing communication with the Group Leader, clients, team members, and the internal design team.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Engineering, or a related scientific field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Must possess a valid Land Surveyor license in one or more states where Timmons Group operates.
- 5 to 10 years of relevant surveying experience.
- Proficient in Civil 3D software and experienced in creating Machine Control Models.
- Familiarity with GPS/RTK technology.
- Strong understanding of project accounting, with demonstrated ability to manage schedules and budgets across multiple projects.
- Experience in client development and supervising technical work performed by field crews.
- Proficient in the technical and office support software necessary for the role.
