Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Emergency Department at Lake Huron Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered services.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to stay current with best practices and advancements in emergency nursing.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment, promoting a culture of respect, empathy, and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Current and valid state RN license.
  • Current BLS certification upon hire and maintenance.
  • Current ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintenance.
  • Current PALS certification and/or ENPC within 30 days of hire and maintenance.
  • Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting, with E.R. setting preferred.
  • Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Facility-Specific Requirements
  • In Paramedic Base Station ED: MICN within 12 months of hire and maintenance.
  • 2 EDAP certified facilities: Completion of emergency pediatric course 1 and 2 within 6 months of hire, and Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNNC) within 12 months of hire required.
