We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Armed Security Officer to join our team at Dell Children's. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide security services to ensure a safe environment for staff and visitors.
  • Perform proactive monitoring of and timely responses to potential/actual security threats.
  • Investigate, document and manage security incidents and hazards.
  • Maintain knowledge/follow policies and procedures regarding alarms and emergency/disaster preparedness plans.
  • Provide information and assistance to staff and visitors to promote safety.

Requirements

  • Licensure / Certification / Registration: Security Guard specializing in Weapon Permit credentialed from the Texas Department of Public Safety obtained within 3 Months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
