Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nursing Educator and Healthcare Professional to join our team at WSU Tech. As an Adjunct Faculty member, you will play a vital role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals.

About the Role

This part-time position offers the ideal blend of healthcare and educational settings, clinicals, and classrooms. You will have the opportunity to share your expertise and passion for nursing with students, helping them gain their certificates in the PN program and take the first step towards degrees in nursing or entering the workforce.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include managing and supervising students in classroom and laboratory activities, ensuring a safe and effective learning environment. You will also be responsible for keeping students informed about course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and supervise students in all assigned classroom and laboratory activities to ensure a safe and effective learning environment.
  • Keep students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements.
  • Evaluate students to measure their progress toward the achievement of course outcomes/competencies.
  • Develop, revise, and/or recommend curriculum changes which meet the objectives of the course/program and improve student learning.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing, required, Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in nursing, nurse educator, nurse practitioner, or a related area.
  • A current, unrestricted Kansas RN license.
  • The ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines independently with little supervision.
