We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Children's Therapist to join our team at Ellie Mental Health - 174. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality mental health services to children and families in the Columbia, SC area.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in child-specific treatment, including experience with evidence-based therapies such as CPP, TF-CBT, PCIT, CPRT, Theraplay, or Certified in play therapy. A passion for working with children and families, combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, is essential for success in this role.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate mental health diagnoses, create, and implement treatment plans, and complete ongoing documentation, including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes, according to company policy.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients and collaborate with a dynamic team to further the mission of filling gaps in our community.
  • Utilize creativity in interventions to help clients achieve and exceed goals.
  • Maintain a caseload of a minimum of 25-27 client visits per week.
  • Coordinate services with case managers, families, work personnel, medical personnel, other Ellie staff, and school staff as needed.
  • Attend and participate in all clinical staff meetings and trainings.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in one of the behavioral sciences or related fields from an accredited college or university.
  • A fully licensed mental health professional (LMFT, LPCC, LICSW, LP, etc.) with a valid license in the state of South Carolina.
  • Required experience with completing DAs, treatment plans, and clinical case notes.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients.
  • Ability to complete and submit documentation of services and other documents in a timely manner.
  • Comfort and familiarity working with a diverse client base.
  • Proficient in the use of Office 365 and Electronic Health Record systems (Valant experience a plus).
