Developmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Developmental Specialist to join our team at Advocates. As a key member of our Developmental Services team, you will play a vital role in promoting the values, dreams, and potential of individuals with developmental disabilities.

• Ensure clinical and programmatic planning and implementation for consumers, including ISPs, behavior plans, learning styles, and data collection systems.
• Facilitate community activities and involvement for assigned individuals.
• Integrate individualized outcomes for consumers and staff into group management.
• Supervise Support Specialists and relief staff to carry out their responsibilities and the agency mission.
• Maintain accurate and complete records, reports, and data necessary to meet the requirements of Advocates and any certifying or regulatory agency.

• Bachelor's degree in Human Service/Special Education or related field.
• Alternative to a degree: at least two years of work experience in a training program for persons with developmental disabilities.
• One year experience in training program for developmental disabilities.
• One year supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving status as determined by Advocates' insurance company.
• Use of a reliable vehicle that seats two passengers.
