Position Overview:
The Radiologic Special Procedures Technologist is responsible for executing precise radiographic techniques as dictated by physician directives. This role involves delivering patient care through the use of diagnostic, portable, and fluoroscopic imaging equipment. The Technologist ensures the generation of high-quality radiographs essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment by medical professionals.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Licensure in the State of New Jersey, Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Completion of department-specific orientation
Scheduling Expectations:
- Day shift availability
- Per Diem status
- Flexible scheduling based on departmental requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Support radiologists during specialized examinations
- Manage routine and urgent cases
- Available for interventional radiology on-call duties as necessary
