Job Title: Instructor Assistant

Lifesteps, Inc. is seeking a dedicated and caring Instructor Assistant to join our team in the Zelienople area.

Job Summary:

The Instructor Assistant will play a vital role in implementing program activities, daily lessons, and support in the community. This position requires a high level of dedication, patience, and understanding to assist individuals with intellectual disabilities in achieving their goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement program activities and daily lessons in the community
  • Monitor health and safety of participants
  • Assist with personal needs and provide support
  • Collaborate with team members to develop and implement individualized plans
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Certification in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
  • First aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within six months
  • Current driver's license with ability to travel for business
Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Association of Community Rehabilitation Educators Certificate (ACRE)
  • Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP)
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree
