The successful candidate will have a strong background in marine diesel engine repair and maintenance, with a focus on MTU engines. You will be responsible for conducting inspections and diagnostic tests, completing engine overhauls and repairs, and verifying performance through sea trials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to determine unit condition
  • Complete engine overhauls and repairs as needed
  • Verify performance through sea trials and make necessary adjustments
  • Contain costs by using warranty and evaluating service and parts options
  • Maintain accurate records of engine and vessel maintenance
  • Ensure a safe and organized work environment
  • Communicate effectively with customers and colleagues
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical schooling a plus
  • 5+ years of experience in marine diesel engine repair and maintenance
  • Strong background in MTU engines and electronics
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Competitive hourly rate: $34.00 - $47.00 per hour
  • Additional $1.50 per hour for field work
