Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at CSU Northridge. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and instructions
  • Serve meals or prepare for delivery, ensuring correct portioning and food temperature
  • Taste all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • Use established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required
  • Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately
Requirements:
  • 1 year of cook experience is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
