The Low Voltage Assistant Project Manager collaborates closely with Low Voltage Project Managers to strategize and implement projects effectively. Key responsibilities include supporting project objectives, aiding in the formulation of comprehensive plans for successful project completion, and managing the organization and storage of project documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fulfill pre-construction requirements, including layouts, permits, and material takeoffs.
  • Oversee the initial project setup and commencement.
  • Define project scope and objectives through regular team and individual milestone meetings.
  • Lead the planning and execution of projects.
  • Monitor daily progress and schedules, providing regular production updates.
  • Generate material orders to align with schedules while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Report on labor production and forecasts, ensuring compliance with labor budgets.
  • Accountable for the financial performance of projects.
  • Facilitate and/or lead client meetings and presentations.
  • Engage with client representatives, contractors, and suppliers, documenting existing conditions through field notes and photographs.
  • Verify quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for construction.
  • Participate in or lead site visits, inspections, and documentation during the construction phase.
  • Assign tasks, delegate staff, and develop project schedules.
  • Direct assigned projects to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Implement quality assurance protocols.
  • Provide progress reports on a weekly and monthly basis, detailing project status and labor production.
  • Take corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in managing commercial or industrial projects.
  • Familiarity with designing layout plans for electrical installations.
  • Understanding of various wire sizes, conduit types, and relevant codes.
  • Prior experience in project management is essential.
  • Experience in construction management is advantageous.
  • Background in estimating is a plus.
  • Experience with site coordination, material scheduling, budgeting, estimating, and safety protocols.
Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and PDF software.
