Position Overview:
CPM Holdings, Inc. is seeking a skilled Machinist to join our manufacturing team. As a key member of our production team, you will play a vital role in fabricating precision parts for various industries. This position involves interpreting technical drawings, selecting tools and materials, and ensuring the production of high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate production
- Set up and operate machine tools such as lathes and milling machines to fabricate precision parts
- Machine parts accurately to meet specifications, ensuring high-quality components
- Select appropriate tools and materials for each job, considering factors such as material properties and tool wear
- Monitor the machining process and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal production
- Inspect finished parts for quality assurance, identifying and addressing any defects or issues
- Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance and extend tool life
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean work area, promoting a safe and healthy work environment
- Previous experience as a Machinist or related field
- Proficiency in operating various machine tools, including lathes and milling machines
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, including blueprints and schematics
- Knowledge of machining techniques and materials, including metalworking and fabrication
- Attention to detail and precision in work, ensuring high-quality components
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues
- Physical stamina for standing and lifting, with ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
- Certification in machining or related field, demonstrating expertise and commitment to the trade
- High school diploma or equivalent, with relevant coursework in mathematics, science, and technology
- Strength and endurance for lifting and standing, with ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Manual dexterity for precise assembly and machining
- Mobility and flexibility for different work positions, including standing, sitting, and bending
- Visual acuity for reading blueprints and technical drawings
- Hearing ability for safety instructions and communication with team members
- Stamina for long work hours, with ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
