Senior Financial Leadership Position for Appgate

About the Role
Appgate is seeking an accomplished financial leader to drive its accounting and finance team forward. This role will play a pivotal part in Appgate's success, ensuring the integrity of operations. The team handles technical accounting operations, financial reporting, international tax reporting, internal controls, risk management, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate all accounting and finance functions;
- Manage and review the month-end accounting close process to ensure accurate records are maintained;
- Oversee the accuracy and timeliness of the month-end consolidation process;
- Monitor and review general ledgers, balance sheet reconciliations, and financial statements for all entities;
- Prepare internal and external financial statements and forecasts, including analysis, key metrics, and reporting to address business issues;
- Implement and monitor adequate and effective internal controls;
- Streamline the close and reporting cycles to ensure timely and accurate reporting;
- Collaborate with auditors for year-end financial statement reviews/audits;
- Determine accounting policies and procedures by researching and interpreting accounting guidance;
- Coordinate tax planning and compliance with internal and external resources;
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership and business unit leaders;
- Able to travel up to 20%.
Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in business or accounting; MBA, MFA, and/or CPA preferred;
- 7+ years of relevant experience, national accounting firm experience highly valued, software-as-a-service industry experience preferred;
- Strong leadership and management skills, experienced in building, training, and retaining an effective team;
- Comprehensive knowledge of GAAP and experience in consolidated financial reporting;
- Detail-oriented, conscientious, and able to work independently to meet deadlines;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to communicate with all stakeholders; Spanish language proficiency beneficial;
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and evaluate financial data and metrics, with deep understanding of finance analytics and systems (SAP knowledge preferred).
Estimated Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 per year
