Position Overview

Townsend Corporation is seeking an experienced Landscape Maintenance Foreperson to oversee project management of outdoor spaces, train crew members, and ensure safety guidelines. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in horticulture and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage project schedules and ensure timely completion
  • Train and supervise crew members to maintain high-quality work standards
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed
  • Complete daily job worksheets and submit reports
  • Install and maintain trees, shrubs, annuals, perennials, and bulbs
  • Prune trees, shrubs, and roses to maintain aesthetic appeal
  • Edge and mulch planting beds and tree rings to enhance visual appeal
  • Promote weed control in planting beds and tree rings
  • Maintain plant health through regular monitoring and maintenance
  • Identify plant material and diagnose insect and disease issues
  • Operate various power and hand tools to perform maintenance and installation tasks
  • Provide regular tool and equipment maintenance
Requirements
  • Minimum of two to five years of experience as a Foreperson
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions
  • Strong knowledge of job functions and responsibilities
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt to changing situations
  • Meet all physical requirements of the position
  • Pass all drug and alcohol screens as required by Company policy
  • 18 years of age or older, or 21 if CDL is required
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
