Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Licensed Behavioral Health Professional to join our team at the Alabama Therapeutic Education Facility in Columbiana. As a Behavioral Health Therapist, you will be responsible for providing individual and group therapeutic interventions, conducting psychosocial assessments, and providing behavioral health consultation to members of the multi-disciplinary clinical team and correctional personnel.
Responsibilities
- Perform individual and group therapeutic interventions as appropriate.
- Conduct psychosocial assessments and mental health intake evaluations as indicated.
- Perform risk assessment and intervention, and provide crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
- Provide behavioral health consultation to members of the multi-disciplinary clinical team and correctional personnel as directed.
- Support and/or direct care coordination efforts for patients returning to the community requiring ongoing behavioral health services.
- Initiate, complete, and maintain patient treatment plans.
- Participate in team meetings and assist in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
- Participate in and conduct in-service training programs, and assist in the orientation of new staff.
- Provide the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
- Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
