We are seeking a highly skilled Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at Grandview C-4 School District. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a critical role in identifying students who require speech and language services and providing them with a program to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities- Provide screenings to identify speech and language handicapped children and assist teachers in observing and implementing strategies to support student learning.
- Participate in special education screening meetings to determine if evaluations are warranted and provide thorough assessments of articulation, voice, fluency, and language skills.
- Interpret evaluation results and determine diagnosis and eligibility for speech and language services, writing individualized educational plans (IEPs) with parental input.
- Provide individualized therapy to meet the needs of speech and language disordered students and prepare home programs for parent participation.
- Maintain therapy records, compile and report caseload data, and send quarterly reports to parents regarding student progress.
- Collaborate with school staff members to provide resources and support in the area of speech and language development and requisition and maintain needed therapy equipment and supplies.
- Certification for Speech and Language
- Experience in designated field
- Criminal Justice Fingerprint/Background Clearance
7 hours/day; 188 days/school year
