Women's Health Clinic LPN Job Description

Mayo Clinic is a top-ranked healthcare provider, and we're committed to putting the needs of our patients first. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in our Women's Health Clinic, you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to assigned patients under the direct supervision of a registered nurse (RN) or other assigned supervisor.
  • Collect data through observation and communicate information to assist the RN and/or provider in patient assessment and care planning.
  • Participate as a member of the healthcare team and accept delegation from the RN/assigned supervisor and provider in meeting the needs of the patient/family.
  • Deliver care in accordance with the patient care plan, policies, and procedures of the organization and principles of relationship-based care.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a school of practical nursing or passed LPN Boards after a defined period in a professional nursing program.
  • One year of LPN experience working in an applicable setting is required if graduation did not occur within the last two years.
  • Computer skills required, prior experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.

Additional Information:

  • Maintains current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays, weekends, and on-call.
