Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and caring Surgical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider to join our growing Genitourinary practice at the Weisiger Cancer Institute in Charlotte, NC.

This position will involve assisting in surgery, handling inpatient rounds and discharges, and seeing follow-up visits in clinic. Our providers are fully supported by a dedicated team of experienced nurses, pharmacists, and administrative staff, as well as a full-service infusion center.

We are a robust and innovative practice that continues to grow and expand patient access to cutting-edge treatments. Surgical experience is preferred, and RNFA certification is required for NPs or must be obtained by December 31, 2024.

Our expert surgeons, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants work collaboratively to provide remarkable care to our operative and non-operative patients.

The selected APP will be responsible for performing a variety of functions under the supervision of our physicians, including seeing patients in the clinic setting, performing office procedures, surgical assisting in the operating room, and rounding at our acute facilities.

Qualifications

We are seeking a Master's Degree holder with a graduate degree from an NCCPA accredited physician assistant program or NP or post Master's NP program. One to three years of experience in Surgery/Oncology is preferred, and current PA or NP license in the appropriate state is required, along with NCCPA or registry with state nursing board, BLS, and DEA registry.
