Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in Fairfield, CA. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing safe, effective, and quality respiratory care to patients in various settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality respiratory care to patients, adhering to the philosophy and goals of Respiratory Care Services.
  • Utilize the Relationship Based Care Model to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
  • Make determinations regarding the progress of the patient toward goals.
  • Establish therapeutic professional relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
  • Provide care according to the specific physiologic, developmental, and psychosocial needs of patients.
  • Act as a patient advocate by facilitating informed decision-making.
  • Demonstrate a current working knowledge and safe use of equipment, instrumentation, and medications.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of respiratory care treatments and adapt plans as necessary.
  • Act as a liaison to coordinate patient care activities with nurses, physicians, and allied health professionals.
  • Utilize effective communication skills for patient handoffs and documentation.
  • Provide culturally competent, age-appropriate, ethical care within legal standards of practice.
  • Document patient care according to hospital policies and utilize manual and automated information systems to improve efficiency.
Requirements:
  • Current Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
  • 6 months postgraduate acute care experience.
  • Pediatric/neonatal experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in English (read, write, speak).
Certifications:
  • Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP).
