This role plays a critical part in delivering high-quality respiratory care to our patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout their treatment journey.

About the Role:

The Respiratory Care Practitioner II will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing effective treatment plans, and implementing life-saving interventions as needed. This individual will also collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive respiratory care services, including oxygen therapy, aerosolized medication delivery, ventilator management, and pulmonary function testing
  • Assess patient responses to therapies and make recommendations for adjustments or modifications as necessary
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Conduct patient and family education on respiratory health and disease management
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient interactions and treatment outcomes

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school for Respiratory Care
  • Current Respiratory Care License in the state of practice
  • National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) credentialed
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required
  • Minimum two years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist, with preference given to those with experience in intensive care unit (ICU) settings
