The role of the Care Coordinator is pivotal in ensuring an exceptional patient journey. Working closely with our Orthopedic Surgeons and clinic staff, the Care Coordinator will enhance patient experiences while adhering to efficient clinical operational practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage patient care by performing administrative and clinical tasks, ensuring seamless patient flow.
  • Serve as the primary contact for patients, facilitating communication between them and healthcare providers both before and after surgical procedures.
  • Coordinate all elements of surgical scheduling, including pre-operative assessments, medical clearances, patient education, and post-operative follow-up.
  • Ensure accuracy in documentation by verifying physician orders and matching all supporting materials.
  • Maintain thorough records of patient interactions within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.

Qualifications:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse or Certified/Registered Medical Assistant in the State of Florida.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, surgical procedures, and patient care protocols.
  • A minimum of a high school diploma with five years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and EHR software, preferably Athena.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.
