Job Description

**Job Summary**

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Support Professional to join our team at Friendship Community Care. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with developmental disabilities, enabling them to live fulfilling and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clients with daily living skills, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Provide transportation to and from activities and appointments as needed.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of client progress and activities.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for clients, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; two+ years of experience working with developmentally disabled individuals preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks as needed.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
