About the Role

The Step Down Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients who require a higher level of care than the medical-surgical floor but do not require intensive care. You will work closely with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients on the Step Down unit
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and spiritual needs
  • Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians
  • Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the physician or other members of the healthcare team
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in nursing principles and practices, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift, push, and pull patients and equipment as needed.
