Job Opportunity

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Center is seeking two full or part-time Pediatric Cardiologists at the level of Assistant/Associate or Full Professor in the Division of Pediatric Cardiology. The successful candidates will be part of a tertiary care pediatric practice, providing a good balance of clinical and teaching experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellence in clinical service and teaching
  • Participate in clinical research
  • Develop and maintain expertise in transesophageal and fetal echocardiography
  • Contribute to the development of outpatient cardiology and outreach programs

Qualifications

  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Cardiology by time of hire
  • Able to obtain medical licensure in the state of New Mexico

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated excellence as a general clinical pediatric cardiologist in an outpatient and inpatient setting
  • Record of teaching experience
  • Experience in transesophageal and fetal echocardiography
  • Experience providing care in an outpatient cardiology and outreach setting
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
