About the Job:

Action Youth America is seeking a qualified Musical Arts Teacher to lead our choir program in the Long Beach Unified School District. The successful candidate will have a strong background in music education, excellent teaching skills, and a passion for inspiring students. We are committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive.

The Musical Education Specialist will be responsible for creating engaging lesson plans, teaching music to students of varying skill levels, and preparing them for performances and recitals. They must also commit to a full school year and have reliable transportation. A high school diploma or equivalent and minimum six months child care experience are required.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum for students.
  • Prepare students for performances and recitals.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Help students with homework.

Benefits: Part-time contract position, Monday to Friday from 1:00 pm-6:15 pm. Estimated salary: $25-$30 per hour based on 15-20 hours of work per week.
